IBPS Clerk Notification 2021 | Check Exam Dates, Eligibility, Salary and How to Apply

IBPS has released the official notification for the post of IBPS Clerk 2021. The online examination (Preliminary and Main) for the next Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre Posts in the Participating Banks is tentatively scheduled in August/September & October 2021.

How to Apply Online for IBPS Clerk 2021?

  • Visit the official site of IBPS (ibps.in), or check the direct link that is provided above
  • Before filling out the online application form, make sure that you have the scanned copies of your photograph and signature in the specified dimensions
  • You should have a valid email id and a functional contact number 
  • Dimensions specified for Photograph and Signature upload:
    (a) Signature:
    Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred) 
    Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb 
    Remember, your signature should not be in capital letters. 
    (b) Photograph:
    Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) 
    Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb
  • Click, ‘Click here for New Registration’
  • Fill out the details required and click on “submit” after you cross-check them
  • Your provisional registration number and password will be generated and will be shared with you via email and text message
  • Fill out the remaining details, upload the signature & photograph
  • Thoroughly cross-check the details that you have entered
  • Click on final submit and make the payment online
  • Do not forget to save a copy of your online application form after completing the registration process.

IBPS Clerk Age Limit 2021

Age (As on 01.07.2021):
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years
i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1993 and not later than 01.07.2001 (both dates inclusive)

Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam
with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) &
(v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualifications:
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent
qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she
registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have
Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information
Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak
the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will
be shortlisted for Online Main examination.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern: Mains Exam

In the latest update by IBPS, IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will now constitute of 190 questions that needs to be completed in a time frame of 160 minutes. Both Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam will be conducted bilingually, i.e. both in English and in Hindi.

Please note that candidates will not be permitted to appear for the Online Preliminary as well as Online
Main Examination without the following documents:
(1) Valid Call Letter for the respective date and session of Examination. Those candidates who are called for Main Exam will also be required to bring authenticated/stamped call letter of Preliminary Exam (along with authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof)
(2) Photo-identity proof (as specified) in original bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter/ application form
Candidates reporting late i.e. after the reporting time specified on the call letter for Examination will not be permitted to take the examination.

PLEASE NOTE:


Call letter for Preliminary Exam will not be collected at the examination venue. However, it will be duly authenticated/stamped by the exam centre staff. Candidate will need to retain the call letter (along with
authenticated/ stamped copy of the ID proof) safely. Those candidates who are called for Main Exam will be
required to bring this call letter along-with Main Exam call letter and other requisite documents as per information
provided in the “information handout” and call letter.
However, scribe form (wherever applicable) will be collected during the Preliminary Exam.
Candidates need to bring one additional photograph (same as pasted by the candidate on call letter) along-with
the call letter and other requisite documents as per information provided in the “information handout” and call
letter.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main
Examination)

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

Scores
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be
normalized using equi-percentile method.
 Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations

Cut-off Score (Online Main examination)
Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. Depending on number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for provisional allotment. Prior to the completion of provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.
MARKS OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED
FOR FINAL MERIT LISTING.

PROVISIONAL ALLOTMENT
The total marks allotted for Online Main Examination are 200. Marks will be converted out of 100 for Provisional allotment. A candidate should qualify in the Online Main Examination and be sufficiently high in the merit to be
considered for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on
authorised IBPS website.

CALL LETTERS
The Centre, venue address, date and time for both Preliminary and Main examinations shall be intimated in the
respective Call Letter.
An eligible candidate should download his/her call letter from the authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in by entering
his/ her details i.e. Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information
Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.
